We have gone through the season with numerous amounts of injuries and the club are about to start a very compact week of football with difficult games coming up that will have a massive influence on where West Ham finish in the league. These games are the mid-week game against Spurs then rounding off with West Ham’s bogey team Everton.

It is therefore vital that two of our injured players could return to the team during the week. Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid have both returned to training and throughout the week could all make appearances.

When Winston Reid will first feature is a bit uncertain as the centre back position has been filled by two players on top form. When he is at full fitness to start games, the best pairing in defence would probably be Reid and Ogbonna however due to Collins unbelievable form this season he will certainly find it hard to walk straight back into the team. If he is fit enough to start the game against Spurs then it would be vital he does as he has more pace than Collins against a fast team.

The final player who is most likely to make his return towards the latter stages of the week is striker Sakho and he is the most important player to return. It is easy to overlook his influence on the team with the likes of Payet and Lanzini but when he starts he is our best and most hard working player. Not only does run at defences to pressurise them but then gets back to help the team if needed. The team have numerous strikers but none really compare to him and once he is back leading the line with his pace, the team should see the return of a lot of goals in the Premier League.
