West Ham are facing a depleted Red Devils side suffering a glut of injuries.

But West Ham knew they would have to travel to Old Trafford without key man Jesse Lingard, who cannot play due to Premier League rules.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference David Moyes admitted he had ‘one or two’ injury issues of his own.

But in typical Moyes fashion, the Scot had played those cards close to his chest.

West Ham fans have been waiting with bated breath to find out who, if anyone, was going to miss out.

And it appears Pablo Fornals was the big doubt as he and Said Benrahma drop out with Ben Johnson, Mark Noble and Jarrod Bowen coming in for them and Lingard after the West Ham team was named an hour ahead of kick-off.

Confirmed West Ham starting XI to face Man United:

Fabianski, Johnson, Cresswell, Dawson, Diop, Coufal, Rice, Soucek, Benrahma, Bowen, Antonio.

Johnson, Bowen and Noble come in as Hammers big blows for huge Man United clash

A win for West Ham will put a gap of five points between them and the chasing pack in the race for Europe.

A Hammers victory will also see them go three points behind Man United in third place WITH a game in hand.

West Ham are likely to need around 68 points to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Beating Man United would mean around 17 more points are needed from West Ham’s remaining 10 games.

five wins and a couple of draws or six wins should do it.

Six wins needed in last 11 for realistic Champions League chance

That is more than achievable given West Ham’s last five games of the season are all extremely winnable.

West Ham play Arsenal next weekend before the two-week international break.

That will be their game in hand over the likes of Chelsea and would see them go back into the top four with a positive result.

Europa League places could go down as far as seventh depending on who wins the cups and where they finish in the table.

Moyes already has forgotten star’s replacement lined up but he could still have big role to play
