Theo Walcott is set to miss Everton’s game against West Ham United, according to The Telegraph.
West Ham travel to Goodison Park on Sunday to face Everton as they search for their first points of the season.
Ahead of the game, West Ham have been handed a boost with news that Walcott is unlikely to be fit.
The 29-year-old was subbed off against Huddersfield Town with a rib injury and is set to sit out of the West Ham game.
This is a blow for the Toffees. Walcott has been important this season and has scored twice in four league games.
Given his track record against West Ham, Hammers fans will be pleased to see Walcott miss this fixture.
Walcott vs. West Ham
There are several players who love scoring against West Ham and Walcott is one of those.
The sporadic England international has always taken a liking to West Ham, at both Arsenal and Southampton.
West Ham have met Walcott on 13 occasions throughout his career. During that time, he has won 10 games and has lost just twice.
These wins include thrashings such as the 5-1 win at West Ham in December 2016 and another 5-1 victory at The Emirates in January 2013.
The versatile forward also has an impressive attacking record against West Ham.

He has struck six goals in those 13 games and he has also provided four assists for team-mates.
But he has not been as prolific in recent years. Walcott has scored once in his last seven outings against West Ham since the start of the 2014/15 season so maybe his days of terrorising those in Claret and Blue are over.
Who will play instead?
Everton have been reliant on Walcott operating on the right wing this season. With Brazilian attacker Richarlison also out (through suspension), Everton have to consider their options.
Bernard, who was a summer target for West Ham, could get his first start of the season. The former Shakhtar Donetsk man has only played five minutes against Bournemouth this term.

Exciting youngster Ademola Lookman is the other option for the Toffees.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is likely to retain his place on the other wing after scoring against Huddersfield.
