Reliable West Ham insider EXWHUEmployee has told listeners on The West Ham Way podcast on Phoenix FM (Tuesday 2nd April) that three players are set to return.
West Ham were without Felipe Anderson, Mark Noble and Samir Nasri for the 2-0 home loss against Everton last Saturday.
But all three should be fit and ready to face Chelsea when West Ham travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday night. It is a major boost for West Ham, who were poor last weekend and need some inspiration.
Should these three players start?
West Ham started with Manuel Lanzini on the left wing and it was clear that he was not in his favoured position.
Anderson, who picked up a knock while with Brazil, is the more natural left-sided winger and will cause more problems for Chelsea.
This will allow Lanzini to return to his preferred central position or Manuel Pellegrini could rest him.
If Lanzini is rested altogether, West Ham will need Nasri’s creativity in that role. The Frenchman missed the Everton game with a calf knock, which he has since shrugged off.
And the Hammers also missed Mark Noble in midfield. His leadership and commitment was missing and Pedro Obiang should be dropped after a poor game.
