Nathan Holland has travelled with the first-team squad for tonight’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to trusted insider EXWHUEmployee, Manuel Pellegrini has decided to include Holland to cover for Michail Antonio tonight. Antonio is a doubt after picking up a groin injury against Chelsea.

The powerful winger has only just returned from injury but he scored against Tottenham Hotspur. His performance convinced Pellegrini to start him against Chelsea and he was a handful. Antonio didn’t score but he had a goal chalked off by VAR and he was a nuisance all game.

Unfortunately, the 29-year-old has picked up a minor groin injury. With the games coming thick and fast, he might be rested tonight. Holland is in the squad in case Antonio doesn’t pass a late fitness test.

Holland’s performances for the U23 squad this season have merited a place in the first-team squad. West Ham fans have been calling for the 21-year-old to be promoted for a while now.

With 11 competitive goals and a number of assists this season, Holland is clearly a talented player. The former Everton starlet might now get his Premier League chance with Antonio a doubt.

Pellegrini has been reluctant to use Holland but he might be forced into this inclusion tonight. If he gets his chance, Holland needs to show why he deserves a permanent call-up to the first-team.
