The Italian went off injured during our FA Cup clash with Manchester United last month.
At the time, it was suggested that the Italian would miss around four weeks of action.

That in itself was a big blow for West Ham.
Ogbonna, 32, has been in superb form for the Hammers this season. It would not be an exaggeration to suggested that he was well on his way to winning the Hammer of the Year award before he injured his ankle.
ExWHUemployee confirms massive West Ham injury blow
The Italian defender could be out for quite some time it seems.
ExWHUemployee confirmed a huge West Ham injury blow conceding Angelo Ogbonna, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night:

“Ogbonna has had a setback in his return. He’s out of his protective boot now, the original prognosis was four weeks, but that’s been extended by pretty much double that. Unfortunately he seems to be a little bit further away, but hopefully we’ll see him before the end of the season.”
Losing Ogbonna for such a long period of time is a really cruel blow to West Ham as David Moyes’s men continue their push for a top four spot.
The one silver lining is that Issa Diop has impressed since filling in for his teammate.
Let’s hope the Frenchman continues his fine form. Still though, the sooner that Ogbonna is back and available for selection the better for the Hammers.
