David Moyes has been boosted as Jurgen Klopp confirms no fewer than seven Liverpool first team stars will miss the West Ham clash.
West Ham head to Anfield on Wednesday to take on a Liverpool side looking rather ominously more like their old selves.
West Ham drew 1-1 at Southampton on Sunday – a result which left fans and manager Moyes hugely frustrated.
There was no such frustration for Wednesday’s opponents Liverpool, though.
Klopp’s Liverpool side became the first team to beat Manchester City this season ahead of welcoming the Hammers to Merseyside.

Liverpool’s home is very rarely a happy hunting ground for West Ham – or indeed any team as Man City found out to their cost on Sunday as Mo Salah scored in a 1-0 win.
So David Moyes will take any slight advantage he can get ahead of a visit to what Moyes has declared is one of the most difficult grounds on the planet to get a result.
The Hammers thought they may have a small advantage when Klopp was sent off during that pulsating encounter with Man City.
But the big German has earned a reprieve and will be present for Liverpool against West Ham.
A host of his players won’t be, though.
Moyes has received a big boost as Klopp confirms seven Liverpool first team stars will miss the West Ham clash.
Speaking in his pre-West Ham press conference, the Liverpool boss revealed his list of absentees for the Hammers game and there are some star names on there.
Klopp confirmed that brilliant Portugal forward Diogo Jota will sadly miss not just the West Ham game but also the World Cup after an injury against Man City.
Six other Liverpool players will also effectively be missing with Klopp reluctant to throw the returning Curtis Jones in too soon. Joel Matip, Luis Diaz, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate will also miss the West Ham clash, Klopp confirmed.

“Really not good news about Diogo,” Klopp said in his Liverpool presser (Liverpool Echo).
“Yes, he will miss the World Cup. A pretty serious injury in the calf muscle. And now the recovery starts, or the process starts. Let me say it like this.
“Curtis looks good in training but needs more until he’s really available.
“Oxlade-Chamberlain is getting closer but needs time. Keita in parts of training but not with full first team. Konate needs about 10 days. Matip still a little bit away and Luis Diaz is not even close.”
