Claret and Hugh claims that West Ham United have a somewhat of an injury and suspension crisis ahead of our clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

The Hammers welcome the Blues to the London Stadium in what is a huge game for both sides.

Chelsea can jump above West Ham in the Premier League table with a win tonight against Brighton.

If we beat Thomas Tuchel’s side on Saturday, however, we will jump back inside the top four.

A place inside the top four could count for little at the end of the season of course, if the ridiculous plans for the European Super League go ahead.

Let’s hope they don’t, however, and some kind of integrity is restored to our game before it’s gone for good.

West Ham crisis ahead of Chelsea clash

Claret and Hugh claims that Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku will miss the game against the Blues along with already injured duo Declan Rice and Michail Antonio.

Added to that, Craig Dawson will miss out through suspension after his red card against Newcastle on Saturday.

Every other player will have to raise their games. If we play five at the back, Ben Johnson will fill in for Masuaku and Fabian Balbuena will likely take Dawson’s place in central defence.

Aside from that, the team will probably stay the same as it was on Saturday.

A win against Chelsea is an absolute must for West Ham.

It seems like we will have to do it the hard way, however, with so many key players unavailable for selection.
