The Hammers head Griffin Park to take on Brentford in the FA Cup this evening.

David Moyes is in desperate need of a result against the Bees, in order to inject some much-needed confidence back into his beleaguered troops.

West Ham’s Premier League form has been awful so far this season, whilst Brentford have been absolutely flying.

The Bees have already taught us a lesson once this season, beating us 2-0 at the London Stadium at the end of last month.

Today will undoubtedly be a very different game, one way or the other. Although it’s not a league game, it’s still vitally important for the Hammers in my opinion…

David Moyes has made four changes from the team that drew with Leeds at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

We all know this will not be an easy afternoon in West London.

Thomas Frank has his Brentford side extremely well-drilled, and they are full of dangerous players who can hurt anyone on their day.

The West Ham side selected by Moyes will have to be on their very best form if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating the Bees today.

Progressing through to the fourth round of the FA Cup will be a real boost for the Hammers this afternoon.

Whether or not the players are up to the task remains to be seen though.
