Under-23 duo train with West Ham first-team ahead of Anderlecht clash

The Hammers face a huge game in Europe on Thursday night.

Moyes will undoubtedly play his strongest side but there might just be a sprinkling of youngsters included in the traveling squad as well.

Levi Laing, 19 and Keenan Appiah-Forson, 20, were both captured on video training with the West Ham first-team at the London Stadium today:

Now, we’re sure that neither of them will take part against the Belgians, unless we are three or four goals up with 10 minutes or so remaining.

If they do travel out to Belgium though, it will still be a great experience for them both, even if neither of them take part in the match.

West Ham are well known for having a brilliant academy that produces some of the very best young players in England.

The talent factory has churned out the likes of Bobby Moore, Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst before the Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and more recently Declan Rice all came through.

West Ham duo Levi Laing and Keenan Appiah-Forson getting the nod to train with the first-team ahead of the Anderlecht clash will be a huge confidence boost for both of them.

As mentioned earlier, they will surely not feature in the match. But it’s the experience of being on the bench in such a highly pressurised situation that could end up being priceless for them.
