The future looks bright for West Ham after three debuts were handed out last night.
West Ham beat Macclesfield Town 8-0, the club’s biggest win for 35 years, on a night to remember for three academy stars.
Grady Diangana, Conor Coventry and Joe Powell all got their first taste of senior action.
A much-changed West Ham side proved a point to Manuel Pellegrini and continued their good run of form.
Three new debuts
Diangana played the full 90 minutes, Coventry came off the bench and Powell was a second-half substitute for the Irons.
All three played a major part in the game and looked like ones to watch for the future. Diangana grabbed two goals and both of those were assisted by Powell.
Also, Coventry was solid in midfield and impressed the fans.
West Ham’s three academy boys shared their debuts together. And they were extremely impressive against League Two opposition.
After Diangana’s goal, there is a great picture of the three boys celebrating together.
It is clearly special for them to share this moment together and to contribute to goals.
It shows that the rapport between the youngsters is strong and that the Academy of Football is still alive and well.
The goal celebration will really please West Ham fans as it shows the passion of their young players.
Diangana races away and crosses his arms in a “Hammers” gesture. Coventry is first on the scene to congratulate him with a wide grin across his face.
