Nuno named his West Ham eleven to take on QPR in the FA Cup on Sunday, and opted to leave Callum Wilson out of the side.
Wilson has been in talks to leave in January, and this could have been a farewell game for him.
However, Nuno did not see it the same way, and it is now safe to say that the 33-year-old has perhaps played his last game for the club.
Unless there is a dramatic U-turn in his stance and the manager’s, the London Stadium faithful are not expected to see him don the claret and blue jersey again.

Wilson has been linked to Celtic, and the Hoops could certainly do with a number nine of his calibre in the coming months.
Things have not panned out well for them, which has seen them change a number of managers in recent months, so bringing in the Hammers striker may help turn their fortunes around.
It remains to be seen if any Championship side fighting for promotion is willing to take a punt on him.
He is experienced in the Premier League, a proven goal scorer, and is available for a bargain deal in January, which would be as good as a free transfer if he is to promote his new team come May.
