The 24-year-old scored a hat-trick for Blackburn during a 5-2 home win against Birmingham City this afternoon. It was his second three-goal haul in just two weeks.
Armstrong has now scored nine goals in his last six outings for Rovers. He is second in the Championship scoring charts behind only Ivan Toney with 28 goals in 40 league games to his name (Transfermarkt).
West Ham just need to get this one done as soon as possible.
