West Ham captain Mark Noble suggested that he is fully behind under-fire goalkeeper Roberto, when writing his regular column for the Evening Standard today.
The Spaniard joined the Hammers on a free transfer in the summer. And he has proven to be an absolute disaster signing.
The 33-year-old has made a number of high profile errors, and he has conceded 11 goals in his last five games.
And the worrying thing for West Ham fans is that Lukasz Fabianski is not due back to action until January.
Roberto is already somewhat of a laughing stock amongst the club’s fanbase.
Noble insisted that the Spaniard has his full support, however, when writing his regular column for the Evening Standard:
“Confidence is everything and our goalkeeper, Roberto, has taken a lot of criticism recently. I have talked to him but he’s 33 and is experienced. We need to stick by him — he’s a team-mate, one of us.”
West Ham face Tottenham at the London Stadium tomorrow.
And Manuel Pellegrini seemed to hint that he is prepared to stick with Roberto between the sticks.

And that could end up being one of the biggest mistakes of his Hammers tenure. A heavy defeat could spell the end of his time in charge at the London Stadium.
Third-choice ‘keeper David Martin is waiting in the wings, and now is surely the time to give the former Millwall man a chance.
