West Ham should sign another striker in January and Edin Dzeko would be the perfect short-term solution.
A number of Premier League clubs are reportedly keen on Dzeko.
According to The Mirror, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Cardiff City all want to sign Dzeko.
And the Bosnia and Herzegovina international is interested in returning to the Premier League.
He said: “It’s probably too late for me to return to the Premier League, but you never know: we’ll see.
“I love English football, I played in the Premier League for four-and-a-half years and enjoyed it a lot, even if I’m happy at Roma right now.”
This has alerted the three mentioned Premier League sides but West Ham should enter the race as well.
Do West Ham need another striker?
West Ham’s top choice striker is Marko Arnautovic, who is the Hammers’ talisman and top scorer.
But with an ongoing knee injury, the Austrian could be sidelined at any moment. His deputy is Javier Hernandez, who has also spent lots of time out injured or ill.
Then, Andy Carroll, who spends more time out injured than he does on the pitch.
When all of these players are struggling, Manuel Pellegrini is forced to choose Michail Antonio up front. This is far from ideal and West Ham could do with another striker in their ranks.
What Edin Dzeko would offer

Despite his age, the 32-year-old has still got his goal scoring touch. And he seems to continue to maintain his top levels of performance at all times.
In just over three seasons with Roma, Dzeko has scored 78 goals, including five in nine this season.
Moreover, he has previously worked with Pellegrini. The West Ham manager and Dzeko were together at Manchester City.
During his time with Man City, the prolific forward netted 50 Premier League goals.
Surely West Ham can blow Crystal Palace, Southampton and Cardiff out of the water. If the Hammers entered the race, Dzeko could be their man in January.
