Vladimir Coufal’s recent comments expose how West Ham United made a futile £5million investment, which could be attributed to the problems at the club.
The Czech Republic international walked out of the doors at the London Stadium in the summer and has since thrived at Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
In 12 league matches this term, Coufal already has four assists and a goal to his name.

West Ham United have nothing to show for their £5m Rush Green investment
Revenues in Germany are nothing compared to England, which is why Premier League sides who regularly finish in the bottom half can still manage to spend big money on new signings.
This should also mean that good amounts are spent on bettering the training facilities and ensuring that state-of-the-art services are provided to the players behind the scenes.
However, West Ham United, who recently spent £5million to refurbish Rush Green, are clearly not doing a good job.
The Hammers’ training ground is in an embarrassing condition and it’s certainly going to put off players who are considering joining the club.
Coufal compared Hoffenheim’s set-up to that of West Ham and he did not mince his words.
He said: “We have an unbelievable training ground [at Hoffenheim] and it’s not even possible to compare it to West Ham.
“We have a swimming pool and two padel courts. That’s why the boys are in no rush to go home. It wasn’t always like that at West Ham.”

How can West Ham make Rush Green a better place?
The Hammers hierarchy could look to handle undersoil heating and more sophisticated draining systems in order to ensure players can train properly even during adverse weather conditions.
They must also look to build a larger gym and fitness suite that includes cryotherapy rooms, hydrotherapy pools, and altitude chambers to improve recovery.
The first-team squad have faced soft-tissue problems for years and in order to combat that, their sports science teams must be improved and handed AI-driven analytics to better suit the players and managers.
As mentioned numerous times over the years, the porta-cabin vibe must be replaced as soon as possible with greener spaces.
This means potentially including other sporting activities to keep the players physically and mentally stimulated during non-intensive days.
