West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and admitted that he did not fully understand how good the Premier League was before he moved to England.

The 23-year-old joined the Hammers from Villarreal in the summer for around £24 million (BBC Sport).
Fornals, who earns £60,000 per week according to Football Insider, has struggled to settle at the London Stadium, however.
The Spaniard has chalked up just one goal and one assist in 16 appearances for West Ham thus far.
He has looked totally out of sorts, but Manuel Pellegrini certainly hasn’t helped him by shunting him out on the left wing.
Fornals spoke exclusively to WHUFC.com, and admitted that the intensity and quality of the Premier was something that he never fully understood until he experienced it first hand:
“This league is unbelievable, many people say that this is the best league in the world but you don’t truly understand that until you feel and experience it.All of the stadiums are full and our fans are incredible and follow us around the country to any place. The intensity and strength of the league is very different to Spain, and I am loving the experience of it.”
Fornals must be given time to settle at West Ham. He has shown glimpses of what he is capable of. But to thrive, he must be deployed in a more central position.
Whether Pellegrini will allow that, however, remains to be seen. The Spaniard is obviously very talented. But his progress is being severely hampered by his manager’s stubbornness.
If we can see it, why can’t Pellegrini?
Fornals is a good player, and he we surely come good, but he must be helped out by his manager.
