Claret and Hugh have this morning moved to deny reports that surfaced yesterday suggesting that David Sullivan’s son Jack is now acting as West Ham’s Technical Director.
The Independent claimed yesterday that the 19-year-old co-owner’s son is now playing a key role in the Hammers’ transfer business.
Jack is a very unpopular figure amongst West Ham fans. The Hammers faithful are annoyed that David’s son has anything at all to do with club matters.
And yesterday’s claims angered them even further.
West Ham insider Claret and Hugh suggest that those rumours ‘could not be further from the truth’, however.
Mario Husillos was appointed as West Ham’s Director of Football in the summer of 2018. But after a succession of poor signings, the Argentine is under real pressure to keep his job.
If the Hammers are to part ways with the South American, however, they must bring in a top class replacement.
It would not shock West Ham fans to see David Sullivan appoint his son in the role. But according to Claret and Hugh, that seems to be a long way from the truth.
