West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that an injury in training yesterday has forced Manuel Pellegrini into making a change for this evening’s clash with Southampton.

The Hammers head into today’s game in desperate need of all three points.

They have won just one of their last 10 Premier League games, and have fallen down to 16th spot in the table. Worryingly, the east London outfit now sit just one point clear of the drop zone.

If West Ham lose today, and Aston Villa beat Sheffield United, Pellegrini’s men will find themselves inside the bottom three at Christmas.

The Hammers really do need to improve in every department of the pitch. If they don’t, however, and they lose against Southampton, Pellegrini’s time in charge at the London Stadium will surely come to an end.

Will the Chilean mix things up and try a different system?

He will certainly have to change at least one player, according to ExWHUemployee.

The West Ham insider has just claimed that an injury in training has forced Pellegrini’s hand:

And only time will tell whether the Hammers can cope without whoever the mystery player is…
