West Ham fans will surely not be pleased with their board after looking at the recent footage of Gianluca Scamacca.
The Italian striker is currently plying his trade at Atalanta, where he has thrived since leaving the London Stadium.
West Ham sold Scamacca for £21.5million plus add-ons in August 2023.
Imagine you’re in Nuno’s shoes: Which West Ham flop are YOU dumping first?
£150 million was wasted on these five…
However, they made a loss on his sale as he was signed for £35.5million in the previous summer.
Gianluca Scamacca’s goal footage will see West Ham fans furious with the hierarchy
Scamacca was in action for Atalanta as they took on Cagliari in a Serie A game on Saturday.
The 26-year-old striker found the back of the net twice en route to a 2-1 victory for the home side.
While both goals were well struck, the one which made the headlines was his superb improvisation from a very tight spot.

Ademola Lookman carried the ball brilliantly down the left wing before cutting inside and playing a pass for one of his teammates.
Davide Zappacosta was on the receiving end of the pass and took a shot on goal, but failed to strike it well.
This worked in Scamacca’s favour as he made the most of the scuffed effort and, with impeccable footwork, managed to put the ball into the back of the net despite being surrounded by a sea of defenders.
With the first team in desperate need of a quality number nine, Scamacca surely could have added value.
This will infuriate the fans, as he was let go after just one season.
What do you make of Scamacca’s remarkable goal?
West Ham made a terrible mistake by selling him after one season…
How Scamacca is making West Ham eat their words
Despite never playing in English football, Scamacca was signed for relatively big money and asked to deliver instantly in a system that did not get the best out of him.
He still managed to score five goals in nine European games, but his major problems came in the Premier League, as he found the back of the net just thrice in 16 games.
Players coming from Italy often take time to adapt to the intense nature of the league, and without giving him another season, the Hammers shipped him off.
He is now proving them wrong as he’s already bagged five goals in nine league matches this season.
Since joining Atalanta, he has scored 25 goals and provided nine assists in 59 games in all competitions.
Having a striker scoring every other game would certainly have helped West Ham and they surely will regret letting go of him.
