West Ham were beaten comfortably by Tottenham today, and Felipe Anderson stood out as one of the home side’s worst players.
The Brazilian was taken off at half-time and replaced by Michail Antonio.
Anderson, 26, joined the Hammers from Lazio in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £41.5 million, according to BBC Sport.
And despite impressing during his first season at the London Stadium, his performances levels for West Ham have fallen off a cliff this term.
Anderson’s play has been ponderous, and that’s being kind to the South American.
He seems to be totally lacking in confidence, but strangely, Manuel Pellegrini persists in playing him.
Perhaps some time out of the team would do Anderson good.
Or he should be moved to the right wing, or in the number 10 role. Anything but persisting with the same old thing.
Some West Ham fans took to Twitter an absolutely battered Anderson for his display today against Tottenham…
