Roberto has been linked with a January exit from West Ham, according to a report from the Mirror, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 33-year-old joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer. He arrived as Lukasz Fabianski’s back-up, and probably didn’t expect to play as much as he has done.

Roberto has been completely out of his depth since filling in for the Pole for the last six games.

The Spaniard has been extremely shaky between the sticks, and his lack of confidence seems to be seeping into the rest of the team.

He is clearly not good enough to be a Premier League goalkeeper. And the sooner that Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husillos realise that the better.

The Mirror claims that the West Ham board want to offload Roberto in January against the wishes of Husillos.
