According to a report from Claret and Hugh, Manuel Pellegrini is set to stick with Roberto for West Ham’s upcoming clash with Tottenham.
And some Hammers fans are absolutely fuming.
The Spaniard joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer. And he has been an absolute disaster.
Roberto, 33, has played the last five games for the Hammers, and has conceded 11 goals in the process.
He quite clearly is not good enough to play in the Premier League, and his flappable nature is beginning to rub off on the rest of the team.
So it comes as somewhat of a surprise to see that Pellegrini is reportedly set to stick with the Spaniard for West Ham’s clash with Tottenham after the international break.
Surely now is the right time to give David Martin a chance. Whilst he is totally unproven, he cannot be any worse than Roberto.
And some West Ham fans cannot believe that Pellegrini is even contemplating playing the calamitous stopper against Spurs…
