According to a report from Football.London, West Ham boss David Moyes has finally lost patience with Manuel Lanzini, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.

The Argentine has experienced an incredibly difficult season so far at the London Stadium.

The 27-year-old has looked well off the boil. He seems to have lost all of his creativity and guile, and more worrying, his interest and work-rate has dropped off massively.

Lanzini looks like an absolute shadow of his former self. He has clearly lost his confidence. It’s not like he didn’t have the backing of his manager, however.

David Moyes raved about the South American when he returned to the London Stadium as manager just under three months ago (Football.London):

“He was such a good player for us and I am desperate to get him back to the levels he was at. I trust him, I believe he can get back to those levels. At the moment he is our flair, he is our person that might make the difference. There is nobody more behind him than me.”

That all seems to have changed now, however. Football.London claims that the Scot has lost patience with Lanzini.

The mercurial Argentine, who earns £70,000 (Spotrac) has a lot of work to do, if he is to re-establish himself as a key player at West Ham.

But as things stand, that seems to be a long way from happening. Maybe the coronavirus enforced break has come at a good time for the 27-year-old.
