West Ham fans react on Twitter to worrying claims from ExWHUemployee

ExWHUemployee claimed that West Ham face a bleak financial future, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday, April 15th), and some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the insider’s comments.

Ex suggested that David Sullivan is already concerned about the outcome of the current global health crisis and the financial implications that it will undoubtedly have on the football club.

The West Ham co-owner is worth around £1 billion, but most of his money is believed to be tied up in property (Claret and Hugh).

When football resumes, ExWHUemployee has claimed that the Hammers could be in real trouble financially, and may need to sell some of their prized assets.

In fairness, however, he did stipulate that most clubs in the English game will struggle aside from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.

Financial repercussions

West Ham will have to live within their means when action resumes by the sound of it.

The Hammers will obviously have to cut their cloth accordingly. And that might just mean that they have to sell some of their best players.
