West Ham fans criticise Manuel Lanzini’s display vs Sheffield United

Manuel Lanzini put in yet another anonymous display for West Ham against Sheffield United tonight.

The 26-year-old, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac, has had his fare share of injuries over the last couple of years, and in truth, he just doesn’t look like the same player this season.

The five-capped Argentina international seems to lack the drive, creativity and flair that made him a real hit at West Ham.

David Moyes’s decision to start Lanzini ahead of Pablo Fornals tonight was a baffling one to begin with.

He has been woefully out of form recently, whilst the Spaniard has been very impressive.

Lanzini is obviously low on confidence, but he quite simply has to do more. Perhaps most worryingly, his work-rate has been very poor of late. And no matter how talented you are, that is something that is unforgivable.

The 26-year-old seems to let games just pass him by of late, and perhaps he needs to be dropped in order to get his motivation back.

Some West Ham fans took to Twitter and ripped into the South American for his lacklustre display against the Blades tonight…
