West Ham fans berate Felipe Anderson on Twitter for goal drought

West Ham winger Felipe Anderson has been nowhere near good enough this season.

The Brazilian arrived at the London Stadium from Lazio in the summer of 2018 for a fee believed to be worth £41.5 million (BBC Sport).

He enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the Hammers, racking up 10 goals and five assists in 40 appearances.

The 26-year-old’s performances have fallen off a cliff this term, however.

Anderson, who earns £85,000 per week according to Spotrac, has chalked up no goals and just four assists in 16 outings this season.

Incredibly, Anderson has scored just one Premier League goal for West Ham in the last 12 months.

He scored in April of this year against Manchester United and his previous goals for the club came against Southampton in December of 2018.

The Hammers are in a terrible run of form at the moment. And they really need their biggest names to stand up and be counted.

Anderson simply isn’t producing the goods, however.

And some West Ham fans absolutely slated the South American for his lack of goals over the past year…
