West Ham winger Felipe Anderson has been absolutely terrible over the past couple of months.
The £41.5 million Brazilian seems to be incredibly low on confidence. And getting hauled off at half-time against Tottenham last weekend would certainly not have helped his morale.
Anderson has so much talent, but he is just not showing anything recently. He is not working hard, has zero creativity and has been nothing more than a passenger for the Hammers’ last 10 games.
West Ham face Chelsea on Saturday. And it is absolutely vital that they pick up a positive result.
And some Hammers fans want Manuel Pellegrini to bring Nathan Holland into the side in place of the former Lazio man…
Holland has been on fire for West Ham’s under 23’s this season, racking up nine goals and six assists in 11 outings.
Pellegrini desperately needs to mix things up, and dropping the out-of-form Anderson would not be the worst call.
Holland would bring a different kind of energy on the flank for the Chelsea game. And now might just be the ideal time to give him his chance.
