West Ham were incredibly unlucky not to pick up anything away at Liverpool last night.
The Hammers led the Reds 2-1 early in the second-half, only to end up losing the game 3-2.
The east London outfit proved that they had something about them last night at least.
There were a few players who didn’t perform, however. Lukasz Fabianski had an uncharacteristically shaky night between the sticks, whilst Mark Noble was overrun in the middle of the park.
Felipe Anderson was another who wasn’t anywhere near his best.
David Moyes chose to haul the Brazilian off after just 65 minutes, when West Ham were leading 2-1.
And the Scot responded when asked by reporters if he regrets substituting the 26-year-old winger, as quoted by Football.London:
“None at all.”
The Brazilian has only just returned from a six week lay-off through injury. So we shouldn’t be too critical of him.
However, he still needs to raise his game during the final three months of the season, if West Ham are to avoid relegation.
Anderson is one of the Hammers’ most talented players. He’s the kind of player who can make a real difference in the final third.
And now’s the time for the 26-year-old to start proving that on a regular basis.
