West Ham’s unspoken Mohammed Kudus problem is nothing more than pure negligence of the highest order

Mohammed Kudus left West Ham United to join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Despite some of the brilliance that Kudus produced during his first six months at West Ham, when he was finally sold to Tottenham this summer, £55 million seemed like a decent deal for the club.

Kudus said he was happy to be at Tottenham after joining them – a club where he said he could finally be his real self.

The 25-year-old bagged 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 games for the Hammers, while he has recorded nine goal involvements for Spurs so far.

It is fair to say that, in general, Kudus has struggled since joining Tottenham.

Out of 10, how CONFIDENT are you that Nuno can still save West Ham?

At the same time, West Ham have definitely missed the Ghanaian’s ball-carrying ability and explosive pace.

It could also be argued that the Hammers are still really suffering from not having Kudus at the London Stadium.

West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus problem is nothing more than pure negligence

It has now been six months since Kudus left the London Stadium.

Sure, the Hammers signed Mateus Fernandes from Southampton but the Portuguese ace was brought in to provide more energy and dynamism in central midfield.

The fact that West Ham have not signed a pacy, ball-carrying forward since Kudus’s exit from the London Stadium is quite frankly unacceptable.

In fact, I would even go as far as saying it’s unforgivable.

Is it any wonder why West Ham are in the position they’re currently in?

They sold Kudus and the only attacker they brought into the club was 33-year-old free agent Callum Wilson.

That really is disgraceful when you think about it.

Did Graham Potter ever have a chance? Does Nuno Espirito Santo have a chance now?

Failing to sign Mohammed Kudus replacement is not spoken about enough

Those inside the club may have thought that Luis Guilherme was ready to step up and fill the void left behind by Kudus.

However, it was clear to see that the young Brazilian simply wasn’t up to the standards that were required.

Imagine you are Nuno – What is the FIRST thing you are doing to save your job?

And besides, Guilherme has been moved on to Sporting now anyway.

The sheer neglect shown by West Ham when allowing Kudus to join Tottenham without replacing him is hard to believe.

And the fact that the former Ajax man has still not been replaced at the London Stadium should really set alarm bells ringing among the Hammers fanbase.

In fairness to the West Ham fans, they are currently shouting from the rooftops about the flagrant lack of ambition by the board.

However, not enough noise is made in east London about the lack of a replacement for Kudus.

West Ham have suffered badly as a team since his exit, and it seems like it could actually end up with their relegation from the Championship.
