West Ham hitman Sebastien Haller spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared how hard is prepared to work in order to help out his team.
The 25-year-old has really impressed since joining the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt for £45 million in July.
Haller has racked up three goals in four Premier League outings so far. It has been his all-around game that has perhaps been the most impressive thing, however.
The Frenchman seems to be ideally suited to the rigours and demands of English football. And West Ham seem to have a real player on their hands.
Haller spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered an insight into why he has made such an impressive start to life in the Premier League:
“It’s part of the game and the only thing we can do now is work harder for ourselves and for the team and first keep the clean sheet. Then, if it’s possible, score goals. I know this is my task. I have to fight for the team. Sometimes everything goes well and you can just attack and not defend and it’s good. But sometimes you have to defend more than attack, so it’s a solidarity we have to get in every game. As long we keep this mindset to work together, defend together and do everything together, then it will be OK.”
West Ham can go far this season…
West Ham face Manchester United tomorrow, and they will certainly need to work hard all over the pitch, if they are to stand any chance whatsoever of beating their esteemed rivals.
If Haller is on top form, the Hammers will definitely threaten United.
The Frenchman’s comments suggest that he is prepared to roll up his sleeves and contribute at both ends of the pitch.
And that will be really pleasing for Manuel Pellegrini.
The Chilean is obviously trying to instil this attitude into all of his players. And if they are all on board, West Ham will surely be a real threat to the top six this season.
