Felipe Anderson has not lived up to expectations at West Ham.
The Brazilian arrived at the London Stadium for £41.5 million the summer of 2018 (BBC).
And after enjoying a fairly impressive debut campaign in the Premier League with the Hammers, his performances have dipped massively this season.
Anderson seems to be timid in his play, preferring to cut back inside and pass backwards rather than drive at opposing defenders.
The West Ham ace, 26, is blessed with blistering pace, yet he seems reluctant to use it to good effect.
And if the South American needs inspiration to return to his best form, he need look no further than the below video. Anderson produced a powerful run before teeing up a teammate score when he was playing for Lazio in 2015:
The West Ham mans looks like a totally different player now than he did then.
His physique was better. He looked stronger and the willingness to use his pace is something that Hammers fans have not seen in quite some time.
If Anderson were to sit down and watch the above video, it would surely remind him of what he is truly capable of.
It might sound silly, but confidence is such a huge thing for top flight footballers. Sometimes, during testing periods, they can forget where their strengths lie.
And the 26-year-old West Ham star could use a simple reminder.
He certainly has the ability and potential. He just needs to unleash it on a more consistent basis.
