West Ham ace Aaron Cresswell has the second lowest cross success rate out of any full-back in the entire Premier League according to Squawka.
The 30-year-old joined the Hammers from Ipswich Town way back in the summer of 2014 for around £3.75 million (The Sun).
He has gone on to rack up eight goals and 19 assists in 204 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).
Cresswell was Mr consistent for the Hammers for a good few years, but his powers appear to have waned this season.
The Liverpool-born left-back has completely lost his pace, and he hasn’t contributed anywhere near enough in the final third.
And it is little wonder that he has is still yet to rack up an assist so far in 25 games this season (Transfermarkt).
The below tweet from Squawka highlights how poor Cresswell’s delivery has been this season in the final third:
Clearly the 30-year-old’s crossing is something that needs to be improved.
The modern day full-back is expected to bomb forward and contribute just as much in attack as in defence.
We can’t be too harsh on Cresswell, however. The30-year-old has been fairly solid defensively. In 23 Premier League games for West Ham this season, he has racked up 36 tackles, 26 interceptions and 44 clearances (premierleague.com).
But the left-back must work on his final ball, if he is to make a real difference for West Ham whenever the season eventually resumes.
