Carlos Sanchez has been a total flop at West Ham.

The 33-year-old joined the Hammers from Fiorentina in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £4 million, according to the Sun.

He has really struggled to impress at the London Stadium, however.

Sanchez has made just 13 appearances in all competitions for West Ham. And he has failed to notch either a goal or an assist.

The Colombian has showcased poor ball retention skills and he seems like a calamity waiting to happen every time he is in possession of the football.

So is Sanchez Manuel Pellegrini’s worst signing since he took over at the London Stadium in the summer of 2018?

On the most part, the Chilean has got things right in the transfer market.

Felipe Anderson, Sebastien Haller, Fabian Balbuena, Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop have all been fairly successful acquisitions.

Pellegrini has made the odd mistake, however.

Lucas Perez proved to be a comical signing, and he was swiftly moved on this summer.

Jack Wilshere has failed to have the impact expected of him, whilst the jury is still out on Pablo Fornals.

Without question, Sanchez takes the biscuit as the worst signing for West Ham since the summer of 2018, however.

He is out of contract next summer, and he surely will not be offered a new deal.

The sooner West Ham get rid of Sanchez the better. And Pellegrini must realise that he made a mistake bringing the South American to east London.
