West Ham United appear to be closing in on a move to sign Carlos Borges from Manchester City.
According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham are close to sealing a £14 million deal for the Manchester City youngster.

The 19-year-old was absolutely on fire for Man City’s under 21’s last season, and he possesses something that Hammers boss David Moyes is craving – blistering pace.
Borges is a left footed left winger – somewhat of an anomaly in the modern game.
And if the deal goes through, the West Ham fans should be really excited about the Portugal under-19 international…

The teenage forward is arguably the fastest player I have ever seen! And that’s saying something. The City attacker is powerful as well and seems to be absolutely tailor made for Premier League football.
He’s exactly what we need. All I hope is that Moyes throws him straight into the first-team, rather than bed him in with the under-21s first.

If the Carlos Borges deal does go through, West Ham will have a seriously exciting young player on our hands.
The only thing that is a bit disappointing is the fact that Man City are believed to have included a buy-back clause in the deal.
He will still be an extremely exciting signing for the Hammers nonetheless and let’s face it, if Manchester City do buy him back that means that he would have been unbelievable for us!
One thing we have desperately lacked recently is blistering pace, and Carlos Borges will bring that to West Ham by the bucketload. Fingers crossed this one. goes through with the minimum of fuss.
