West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten has to take ruthless action with Lucas Paqueta.
Lucas Paqueta has been in horrendous form for West Ham this season, and he’s been nothing more than a liability for us in truth.

Paqueta has allegedly asked to leave the Hammers in the January window.
And now Stediten and co have a very easy decision to make in my opinion.
He’s just not a £51 million player, it really is as simple as that. West Ham overpaid for Paqueta two years ago and now we’re paying the price.
The Brazilian’s off-field problems haven’t helped him at all, and he apparently faces a lifetime ban if found guilty of the betting breach charges levelled against him.

However, aside from those issues, he needs to do so much more than he has done this season.
His performance against Brighton this afternoon proved to me that his heart just isn’t in it, so come on Tim, do your job now please.
Tim Steidten has to act ruthlessly with West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta
It’s time for the Hammers to cut their losses with the former Lyon man.
His head quite simply isn’t in the game anymore, and I have my doubts that he is giving everything for the shirt.
Paqueta picked up a silly booking during the first-half of our clash with Brighton – as has been the case on so many occasions this season.
He then made a ridiculous diving slide inside our own box in the second-half, and he was lucky not to give away a penalty.

The Brazilian’s performance against Brighton was truly disgraceful if you ask me.
He was truly terrible inside the final third and dwelt in possession far to many times in his own half.
It looked to me that the 27-year-old had no interest in playing today, and wanted to be anywhere but a football pitch.
A lot is clearly going on with Paqueta off the pitch right now, but there is no room for sentiment at elite level sport.
Tim Steidten has to act and use all of the contacts he has worldwide to sell Lucas Paqueta from West Ham when the January window opens.
