West Ham travel to Merseyside this weekend to take on Everton at Goodison Park. This was the fixture that kickstarted West Ham’s 2018/19 season, giving Manuel Pellegrini his first win as Hammers boss.

Since then, the tables have turned. West Ham are in the top half going into this clash – despite the disappointing loss to Crystal Palace – while Everton are in the bottom three. But there are still some dangerous players in Marco Silva’s side.

Here are three Everton danger men that West Ham need to be wary of this weekend.

Everton’s flying full-back Lucas Digne enjoyed an excellent debut season in England in 2018/19. After joining from Barcelona, the France international did not disappoint, winning the Players’ Player of the Season award.

This season, he has contributed with a goal and three assists in 10 matches. This takes his total tally to five goals and eight assists during his time at Everton, highlighting his attacking threat. Digne’s wicked left boot is something for West Ham to watch out for when he bombs forward and takes set-pieces.

Andre Gomes

West Ham tried to sign Andre Gomes in the summer (Sky Sports) after he excelled on loan at Everton last season. But the Portugal midfielder preferred to return to Everton and made the permanent switch from Barcelona.

The 26-year-old has spent most of this season out injured and Everton have struggled without him. Gomes is now back fit and ready to dictate play from central midfield against the Irons.

Richarlison

Richarlison scored 14 goals last season after moving from Watford and he is Marco Silva’s key man. The Brazil international operates on either wing or as a striker and he has a further three goals this season.

The 22-year-old has a natural talent and will look to cause the West Ham defence some problems. But he is without a goal for a month-and-a-half and West Ham need to keep it that way.
