West Ham United’s January transfer window hasn’t quite gone to plan so far has it.
The January transfer window has drifted by to the point whereby West Ham now have only four days left to make some new signings.
All the talk right now is centred around a move to sign Evan Ferguson from Brighton.
I personally think that the 20-year-old would be a very good signing for the Hammers, but there are so many available options for us this month.
Strikers like Evann Guessand, Brian Brobbey, Jonathan David and even Victor Boniface will all be attainable if the owners were prepared to show a little ambition.
One thing’s for sure, Graham Potter needs to bring a proven striker to the London Stadium before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

Failing to strengthen his centre-forward ranks could well be his downfall at West Ham.
Let’s hope that’s not the case, but something very concerning has happened already this month in my opinion.
West Ham’s club record January window bid doesn’t make sense
Quite how we haven’t signed anyone yet is utterly bizarre, given the need for attacking reinforcements at the London Stadium.
Potter is an exceptional manager, and he will be able to improve the playing style at West Ham, but he’s no miracle worker.
The Hammers head coach desperately needs help if he is to guide us to a successful second half of the season.
Is he already being made to work with one hand tied behind his back though?
The likes of UOL are claiming that West Ham are desperate to sell Luis Guilherme for a decent fee in order to raise funds to buy some players before the January window slams shut.
That’s a depressing thought in itself, but something just isn’t quite right here.
Why the desperate need to raise funds? Something’s not adding up…
£57m Jhon Duran bid means the money is there, or does it?
It was only last week when the Hammers lodged a club record £57 million bid for Jhon Duran.

That offer was rejected and he now seems all set to join Al Nassr, but that’s beside the point.
The £57 million offer was never going to be accepted – Aston Villa rejected a £64 million offer from PSG earlier on in the window.
The question has to be asked, was that bid even genuine to begin with?
I’m not sure it was. If the Hammers owners are not prepared to spend big money on someone like Brian Brobbey, Evan Ferguson or Evann Guessand, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have actually splashed out a club record £57 million fee on Duran.
I’m hoping that the West Ham board surprise us during the final few days of the January transfer window by signing a top-class striker.
However, I won’t be holding my breath. The striker signing will probably end up being someone like Andre Silva, if anyone at all.
