Sol Campbell absolutely raved about West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, when speaking during the Kings of the Premier League show on Sky Sports on September 27.
The Polish ace joined the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer of 2018 for around £7 million, according to BBC Sport.
And he has proven to be a superb acquisition for West Ham.
Fabianski made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League last season, and he has kept clean sheets in his last three appearances for the east London outfit.
The 34-year-old is now widely considered to be one of the Hammers’ most important players. And he must be the first name on Manuel Pellegrini’s team-sheet.
Campbell, who won two Premier League titles with Arsenal, raved about Fabianski, when speaking during the Kings of the Premier League show on Sky Sports on September 27, suggesting that he has done ‘incredibly well’ at West Ham:
“I think he has done really well, he has done incredible. To go to Swansea, to West Ham, I think Fabianski has done incredibly well. He has got the fans behind him as well, I think they appreciate him and he is playing really really good football. Last three games, he has got clean sheets and you can’t get better than that for a goalkeeper.”
Fabianski has made such a huge difference to West Ham. His calming influence at the back has made the Hammers a much more solid defensive unit.
And if he continues to perform, there is no reason why the east Londoners cannot challenge for the top four this season.
