West Ham star Pablo Fornals spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered high words of praise for teammates Sebastien Haller and Michail Antonio.
The Frenchman and the Englishman played together as part of a two-pronged attack for the Hammers against Southampton on Saturday.
And the duo really impressed. They made West Ham look like a totally different side from an attacking perspective.
And Antonio’s presence clearly helped bring out the best in Haller.
Manuel Pellegrini now has a clear blueprint for success. It is just frustrating that it took him so long to finally bow to fan pressure and play Haller and Antonio together.
Fornals, a £24 million summer signing from Villarreal raved about his West Ham teammates, when speaking exclusively to WHUFC.com, suggesting that the duo make everyone else’s jobs a lot easier:
“Both Seb and Michail are so strong and it was easy for the wingers and the midfielders to receive good balls because we knew they were running every time or fighting for the rest of the team. It was important for the confidence for the next games and we will try to continue to win these matches.”
West Ham don’t play again now until Boxing Day when they travel to Crystal Palace.
They are only a couple of wins in a row away from pushing for the top seven again.
And if Haller and Antonio stay fit, there is no reason why they cannot do just that.
