After the late defeat to Wolves, Manuel Pellegrini admitted that West Ham are struggling at both ends of the pitch.
His new-look defence is yet to click, but just as concerning is the lack of creativity. Pellegrini came to overhaul West Ham’s style of play and recruited an array of new attacking midfielders to carry out that aim.
Yet, Marko Arnautovic remains isolated in attack; he is the only man to net a league goal so far this season. So, where should Pellegrini turn for creativity?

Snodgrass could be the answer
Despite the arrivals of Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson, the answer could be a man Slaven Bilic brought to east London; Robert Snodgrass.
The Scotsman impressed last season at Aston Villa and appears determined to prove his worth in the Premier League once more.
The arrival of Yarmolenko could have forced Snodgrass to leave; the Ukrainian has such a similar style to the Scot but is more high-profile.
Yet, the former Hull man knuckled down in pre-season and has been a rare source of promise in the opening four games of the Premier League campaign.

While Anderson and Yarmolenko adjust to English football, battle-hardened Snodgrass could provide an immediate remedy for Pellegrini.
He is direct, can beat a man and find the net. The Scot also wears his heart on his sleeve; that should get the fans on his side as well, if given a start.
He may not be as fashionable as some of the new-boys but Snodgrass is worth Pellegrini’s faith.
