West Ham travel to Leicester in the Premier League tomorrow night, and BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has surprisingly predicted the the game will end in a draw.
The Hammers and the Foxes have experienced entirely different campaigns thus far.
West Ham currently sit in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the drop zone.
Leicester, meanwhile, sit comfortably in third position, and have been mightily impressive this season.
Brendan Rodgers’ side comfortably beat West Ham at the London Stadium in the reverse fixture at the end of December, and David Moyes’s men will have their work cut-out, if they are to take anything from the King Power Stadium tomorrow night.
Nicholas explained why he feels that the Hammers could take a point from the game, however, when writing his regular column for Sky Sports:
“I watched West Ham at the weekend and they had a very good first half but did not put the game to bed. Leicester are caught in a weird situation at the minute. Demarai Gray and Ayoze Perez have to start delivering and do more. They are a bit unpredictable at the minute, and this makes me want to go with a draw once more.”
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1
West Ham would surely take a point now if it was offered to them. Leicester away is never an easy game, in spite of the east Midlands outfit’s poor recent run of form.
A defeat could see the Hammers end the midweek round of fixtures inside the bottom three.
So Moyes’s side will be desperate not to lose the game. And Nicholas doesn’t think they will.
