Robert Snodgrass offered high words of praise for the West Ham fans, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website.
The Scot returned to the starting line-up on Saturday against Sheffield United, and he impressed, scoring his side’s only goal of the game.
And the Hammers faithful backed the 32-year-old to the hilt.
He joined the east London outfit from Hull City in January 2017, for a fee believed to be worth £10.2 million, according to BBC Sport.
Snodgrass, who earns £40,000 per week according to Spotrac, is a real fan favourite at the London Stadium, and he always gives 100 per cent – something that the West Ham fans expect from the players as a bare minimum.
And the Scottish winger told WHUFC.com just how much respect he has for the Hammers fans:
“I really appreciate the support the fans have shown me when I’m in the squad and out of the squad. It’s a magical club with magical support. I’m just happy to try and show them what I can do. It’s very frustrating watching. Every footballer will tell you he wants to play games.”
Snodgrass and the rest of his teammates now have to repay the West Ham fans for their unwavering support.
Next up for the Hammers is a home game against Newcastle United on Saturday, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to keep their dreams of a top six finish alive.
