According to a report from the Sun, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is at risk of being sacked.

The Hammers are currently in the midst of a woeful run of form, having taken just two points from their last five Premier League games. And they have slipped down to 13th place in the table.

They also got dumped out of the Carabao Cup by League One side Oxford United.

West Ham have become boring and somewhat predictable recently, and that should be a real worry for Pellegrini.

They face Burnley away next, and if they don’t win that, the Chilean really will come under heavy scrutiny.

And the Sun claims that the West Ham boss could be axed soon if results don’t improve.

Pellegrini possesses an immaculate footballing CV. It could be argued that he isn’t actually the man to take West Ham forward, however.

The east London outfit really should be pushing for a top seven finish this season. Judging by recent displays, however, they are a million miles from doing that.

Pellegrini’s tactics and signings have left a lot to be desired. And it seems like the end could be nigh for the South American.
