According to a report from Claret and Hugh, West Ham ace Aaron Cresswell could be offered an extension on his current deal which expires in the summer of 2021.

The 29-year-old began the season in really poor form. And he was dropped after the Hammers’ opening day 5-0 defeat to Manchester City.

The Liverpool-born left-back regained his place against Manchester United 10 days ago, however, after Arthur Masuaku was handed a one game suspension having been sent-off against Aston Villa.

And he has grasped his opportunity with both hands.

Cresswell has scored two goals for West Ham in their last two games. And at the same time, he has defended with aplomb.

The left-back’s current deal expires in the summer of 2021, but Claret and Hugh claim that he could be offered a new deal, having impressed over the past two weeks.

Cresswell currently earns £50,000 per week at West Ham according to Spotrac.

And if he continues his fine form, he will surely be offered an improvement upon those terms before the end of this season.

Having Cresswell and Masuaku both firing on all cylinders in excellent news for the Hammers. Healthy competition is a great thing to have at any football club.

And the east London outfit’s current left-back situation seems to be very rosey indeed.
