According to a report from Claret and Hugh, Manuel Lanzini ‘s return to action is pencilled in for October 19th when West Ham travel to Merseyside to take on Everton.
The talented Argentine picked up an injury whilst on international duty two weeks ago. And he aggravated his foot problem away at Aston Villa last Monday night.
Lanzini missed a large chunk of last season through injury. He seemed to have returned to somewhere near his best this term, however.
So his latest setback will be a real blow for Manuel Pellegrini.
Claret and Hugh claims that he could be out for nearly four weeks, with West Ham’s trip to Everton on October 19th pencilled in as a potential return date for the 26-year-old.
Lanzini is so important for the Hammers. He makes them tick, and when he isn’t in the side, Pellegrini’s men really do seem to miss his creativity and guile.
The likes of Pablo Fornals, Jack Wilshere and Robert Snodgrass will all have to step up during the South American’s absence.
And even if they all do produce the goods, West Ham fans will still be desperate to have their little diamond back in the first-team.
