According to a report from Football Insider, West Ham ace Pablo Fornals has finally won David Moyes over, and the Scot plans to use him regularly between now and the end of the season.
The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from Villarreal in the summer of 2019 for around £24 million (BBC).
Fornals made a slow start to life in England. But he began to find his form around October time.
And the Spaniard was arguably West Ham’s best player for the final two months of Manuel Pellegrini’s tenure in east London.
Since David Moyes’s arrival at the London Stadium, however, the play-making midfielder was handed just one start.
That was up until Saturday, when Fornals started for the second time under Moyes. And he really impressed.
The 24-year-old proceeded to rack up two assists, and he now has four goals and five assists to his name in 30 games for the Hammers this season (Who Scored).
In 26 Premier League appearances, Fornals has racked up 33 tackles, 14 interceptions and 93 ball recoveries (premierleague.com).
Football Insider claims that Fornals is now set for an extended run in the first-team, having won Moyes over.
And West Ham fans will be delighted if that turns out to be the case. The former Villarreal man is a real fan favourite in east London.
He clearly has quality, but it is his work-rate that has impressed the Hammers fans the most.
And they will be hoping that he can continue his fine form between now and the end of the season, as West Ham carry on their fight against relegation.
