Relegation-threatened West Ham United face a daunting trip to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Hammers dropped into the bottom three last weekend after a dismal surrender to Brighton.

West Ham twice held two-goal leads but threw away crucial points as they were left clinging on for a 3-3 draw by the final whistle.

David Moyes now has the unenviable task of taking his side to the Etihad to face Man City and then champions elect Liverpool after that.

Moyes faces daunting task

Fans fear heavy defeats will leave the team demoralised and cemented in the bottom three.

West Ham’s failure to win any of their last six games means Moyes needs to pull a rabbit or two out of the hat in the remaining 14 games.

They face a City side who are stuttering at the moment.

Moyes looks set to make two changes for Sunday’s match with Felipe Anderson reportedly back in the fold (Evening Standard).

Anderson back, Moyes to make two or three changes

Ryan Fredericks is a big problem for West Ham. The right back continually struggles to establish himself and to stave off injuries.

He put in another poor display against Brighton, making a hash of a clearance to allow the Seagulls to equalise.

Moyes could be tempted to bring in the vastly experienced Pablo Zabaleta to face his old side.

Zabaleta was West Ham’s best player when he featured in the draw against Everton last month.

Captain Mark Noble could also make way. He has been woeful of late, looking extremely leggy.

New boy Bowen set for debut

Robert Snodgrass could move inside to replace the skipper with Anderson waiting in the wings to come on from the bench.

Moyes may decide to go for it and bring Anderson straight back in for Noble with Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek behind him.

But it is more likely that Snodgrass keeps his place and Noble will make way for new boy Jarrod Bowen who comes in for his much-anticipated debut.

Predicted West Ham team to face Man City:

Fabianski, Zableta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Snodgrass, Antonio, Bowen, Haller.
