Pixie was born Victoria Louise Lott on January 12th 1991 to mum Beverley and dad Stephen. We can thank her mum for steering her towards West Ham, however.

Pixie’s dad was, and still is, a die-hard Charlton Athletic fan. But it seems as though her mum was more persuasive.

The 29-year-old multi-award winning singer grew up in Petts Wood and Bickley in Kent before moving to Brentwood in Essex at the age of 13.

She now resides in London. The talented singer is obviously loving life, and who can blame her? With three number one singles to her name, she’s cracked the big time already and she’s still yet to turn 30.

In 2016, Pixie starred as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End. Then, in June 2017, the 29-year-old started her role as a coach on The Voice Kids UK alongside will.i.am and Danny Jones.

Pixie sure is a busy woman, but she still has time for her beloved West Ham.

So then, where did her love for the Hammers begin to blossom?

I sat down for an exclusive interview with Pixie via zoom, and she opened up on all things West Ham…

With her affable nature that she has become well-renowned for, the Kent born singer began by describing one of her first memories of going to watch the Hammers in action. “I remember going to Upton Park on Boxing Day, I think it was around 2000”, she said. “My brother Stephen was a mascot that day, and we both met all of the West Ham players. We won 5-0 as well. My dad wasn’t too happy!”

Fast forward from the beginning of the millennium to 2017 and Pixie begins to reminisce about a very special memory. “I performed at the London Stadium when we played Everton in 2017 and I loved every minute”, she says. “We went to the players lounge and we met Sir Trevor Brooking. My mum and I absolutely loved him. It was amazing.”

“I met Sir Geoff Hurst as well”, she says. “It was at the Bloomberg Charity Event in 2017. He was a lovely man, so friendly. It was a real honour to meet them both.”

Sir Geoff and Sir Trevor aren’t the only West Ham legends close to Pixie’s heart. She spoke to me about her love for the late great Bobby Moore. “I love Bobby Moore. I’ve been to the Bobby Moore fund events for cancer research UK. I bid in an auction for a party at the BT Tower and I got to throw my Dad’s 60th there!”

Pixie clearly knows her West Ham history. Not many young people would be familiar with the names Hurst, Moore and Brooking nowadays, as sad as that may seem. And that really is incredibly refreshing.

The talented singer admits that she is fond of the London Stadium having performed there, but she showed her sentimental side once again by opening up on her love for Upton Park and what it means to be a West Ham fan. “It’s about family. When I went to Upton Park I felt so much warmth, passion and love for each other, the club and the badge. It was an old school stadium, but it was a special place, and I really miss it!”

Speaking of Upton Park, Pixie remembers one player very fondly from our time in E13. The 29-year-old responded when I asked who her favourite player of all time is: “Paolo Di Canio. I love the song we used to sing for him. He was a crazy Italian and I loved him.”

Didn’t we all!

Don’t miss part 2 of my exclusive interview with Pixie tomorrow where she reveals her favourite current West Ham player, delivers her verdict on David Moyes and predicts where we’ll finish this season.

Pixie is currently working on finishing up her new album. She will also be posting some more shower series on social media for charities throughout the course of this second lockdown, as she did during the first one.
