West Ham striker Sebastien Haller is off the mark for the season. Haller scored twice against Watford in the 3-1 win at Vicarage Road. Now, he will be looking to kick off.

Haller joined West Ham for a club-record transfer fee this summer. He left Eintracht Frankfurt, where he had an impressive goalscoring record. He already has two goals this season in as many games.

West Ham have desperately needed a 20-goal striker for quite some time. The last striker to reach this figure was Teddy Sheringham back in 2004/05. And that was in the Championship. But here are some numbers (via Who Scored) to show why Haller could be the man to end this 15-year wait for a 20-goal striker.

Haller showed that he has all the ingredients to become a top-class striker. He is 6ft 3in tall, strong in the air, able to hold the ball up and he can score and create chances too.

The French striker won seven aerial duels – more than anyone else on the pitch – to prove his aerial prowess. He was also able to complete 28 successful passes at a success rate of over 70 per cent.

Going forward, Haller was a constant menace. He was fouled three times and he completed one dribble. The 25-year-old also had the frame of mind to be able to read the game and get in the right place at the right time to score both of his goals.

There is still a long way to go and he will work on various aspects of his game. But Haller is a complete centre-forward and has the ability to break the 20-goal barrier if he keeps his form up.
